I&J LAW
What is Probate and Letters of Administration?
Probate is the legal registration of a Will after the death of the testator so that the deceased estate can be distributed.
I&J Law can assist you with the Probate application to confirm the validity of the Will and approve the executor as the representative of the deceased estate. It is only after Probate is granted that the executor can take steps to carry out the directions in the Will.
What happens if there is no Will?
If there is no Will, Letters of Administration are required to ask the Supreme Court to approve the administrator as representative of the deceased estate.
It is only after Letters of Administration are granted that the estate can be distributed.
